How I’m Coping During This Pandemic

Let’s talk about what’s really on my mind for a moment. This pandemic.

This year has definitely been one for the books. For someone who does not do so well with change, a change happened in the world that took us all by storm, COVID-19. Every news outlet that you could turn to housed so much information that it became extremely overwhelming to see, hear and read. I found myself refreshing any browser I had minutes apart to see what the latest news was. After so many days following the same unhealthy pattern I realized that it was time to stop. Time to put the phone down, stop endless scrolling that would consume most of my days. It was a moment of self-awareness that I realized what I was doing. I was unintentionally bringing my vibration down. I was unintentionally feeding my anxiety and depression in a negative way.

This realization made me sad because I did not see at first what I kept on doing. So I stopped.

I made a commitment to myself in that moment that I would take a break. This break would give me time to breathe easy knowing that I was going to live intentionally and bring back up that vibration. As you know I’m all about that good energy and when you see that good energy is not surrounding you, you have to make that change.

So I made a change for myself.

During this break there’s quite a lot that I have gotten into that has helped my mind, body and spirit and I thought sharing that with you would help anyone who is looking for those high vibrational energetic feels also.

Here are some ways I’m keeping my goddess flowing during this pandemic.

  1. Creating a Spiritual Morning and Evening Routine: Starting and ending my day on great notes is so important to me. Every morning I wake up, I make sure to check the time and leave my phone alone. I stretch, I smile and I make some tea. Having this tea in the morning, alone with just my thoughts really gives me that space to get myself ready for the day. During every shower I burn one of my favorite incense, Positive Vibes from Soulful Vibes Co. Their products smell ahh-mazing by the way!

  2. Scripting: There’s so much going on in our heads that sometimes we want to shut it all off. I personally cannot do that so I turn to writing. It does not matter what time of day or what day it is, if I have a thought, if I’m filled with emotions, or if I just want to talk but not to someone else then this is when I pull out my notebook. Sometimes those writing prompts come in the form of an essay, a quote, advice for yourself. I always find some kind of revelation in my own writing. It’s very therapeutic for me. My mind go anywhere writing.

  3. Music: Music is such a huge healing method and can completely transform my mood. It can be really meditative too. I have listened to all types of genres and artists. As part of my night ritual, I actually play ocean waves, flute music or affirmation videos while I sleep. It helps my moods for when I wake up.

  4. Cooking: Lately I have been eating every single thing around me and with this new Instant Pot I bought recently, I’m on a roll. Who knew you could make a small vegan pizza inside. There is literally so much you can make and I’m just getting started.

  5. Park Walks: As an Air sign, I have come to really appreciate being outside with a warm seasonal breeze blowing against my face. So I grabbed my kicks and keys and was out the door. It felt so good to have that sun shining on my face.

  6. Family Games: So you are bored in the house and you are in the house bored. We were too! So I got on Amazon and I bought me up some family games that I knew my boyfriend and I would enjoy. We were laughing, joking, being competitive but the most important thing was that it put us in a good mood.

  7. Plants: Because I love being outside so much I had to bring a little bit of nature inside the house. Having plants in the house made a really nice change for me. All ordered from Bloomscape, it brought color to the house and a peaceful state of mind. I definitely should’ve invested in plants a little earlier.

So now that you have some ideas on how I have been coping during this pandemic, let me know what you have been doing for yourself. Do not lose yourself in what’s going on in the world around you but take a look inside on what’s happening within you and . . .

. . . remember to keep your goddess flowing.
